1. Tax-Deductible Contributions

Koinonia Ministry is a nonprofit organization recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Donors should consult their own tax advisers regarding their individual circumstances.

Unless otherwise stated, no goods or services are provided in exchange for a contribution. Donors receive an email receipt containing the contribution date, amount, fund, and transaction information. Please retain this receipt for your records.

2. Use of Contributions

Contributions to the Koinonia Ministry General Fund will be used where they are needed most to support the mission, ministries, programs, and operations of Koinonia Ministry.

When a donor requests that a contribution support a particular ministry, program, or purpose, Koinonia Ministry will make reasonable efforts to honor that request. If the designated purpose becomes unavailable, fully funded, impracticable, or inconsistent with the organization’s charitable mission, the contribution will be handled in accordance with applicable law. When reasonably possible, Koinonia Ministry may contact the donor regarding an alternative use.

3. One-Time and Recurring Contributions

Donors may make a one-time contribution or establish a recurring monthly contribution through our secure online giving system.

Recurring contributions continue according to the selected schedule until canceled. Donors may review and cancel future recurring contributions through their customer account or by contacting Koinonia Ministry.

Canceling a recurring contribution stops future payments but does not automatically refund contributions that have already been processed.

4. Refund Policy

Charitable contributions are generally non-refundable.

If a contribution was made in error, duplicated, submitted for an incorrect amount, or made without the account holder’s authorization, please contact us as soon as possible at info@koinoniaministry.org.

Refund requests should include:

• Donor’s full name

• Email address used for the contribution

• Contribution date and amount

• Order or confirmation number

• Reason for the request

Refund requests will be reviewed individually. Koinonia Ministry reserves the right to approve or deny a refund as permitted by applicable law. Approved refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method. The time required for the refund to appear depends on the payment provider and financial institution.

Refunding a contribution does not automatically cancel future recurring contributions. Recurring contributions must be canceled separately.

5. Processing Fees

Online contributions may be subject to payment-processing and Squarespace transaction fees.

Donors may be given the option to add an additional amount to help cover these fees. This option and its amount are displayed before the contribution is completed, and donors may deselect it.

Payment-processing fees charged to Koinonia Ministry may not be returned to the organization when a contribution is refunded.

6. Contribution Receipts

An electronic receipt is sent after each successful online contribution. Donors who contribute through Zelle, PayPal, bank transfer, or another offline method may request a receipt by contacting:

Please provide your full name, email address, contribution date, amount, and payment method.

7. Privacy and Security

Koinonia Ministry respects the privacy of its donors. Donor information will be used to process contributions, provide receipts, maintain financial records, communicate with donors, and fulfill applicable legal and reporting obligations.

We do not sell donor information. For additional information, please review our Privacy Policy.

For your security, Koinonia Ministry will never notify donors of changes to our banking information solely by email. Please verify any changes directly with us before sending funds.

8. Policy Changes

Koinonia Ministry may update this policy when necessary. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. The policy in effect on the date of a contribution will apply to that contribution.
